Account & Subscriptions

Create an account, manage subscriptions and move between devices. Keep your credentials safe before importing a subscription.

What do I need to create an account?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Choose a username you can keep track of and set a unique password for VPNOB. After creating your account, make sure you can sign in to the user dashboard before checking plans and client downloads. Store your username and password in a trusted password manager or private record, and never share them alongside your subscription link in a public chat. Since your account is not tied to an email address, email recovery is not available by default. If you have trouble accessing your account, check the Contact page for available support options.

Where can I get the client and subscription link?

Get the client and subscription from the user dashboard. Direct installer links are not provided on marketing pages. After signing in, check your plan status and open the client section to find the option for your operating system. VPNOB supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. When getting your subscription, use the import method provided in the dashboard whenever possible. If you need to paste it manually, make sure you copy the full subscription link, not the dashboard page URL. Your subscription link contains account credentials, so protect it like a password and never submit it to an unfamiliar online conversion tool.

How do I update my subscription, and when should I import it again?

Open the subscription or configuration manager in your client and find the configuration imported from VPNOB. Use the update option to fetch the current route list. When the update finishes, check for errors and select a route to connect. A routine update does not create a new account, and you do not need to delete other private configurations. If the update fails, sign in to the user dashboard and copy the current subscription link again. Check that no spaces or line breaks were added when pasting it. Replace the old configuration with the current link from the dashboard only if the existing configuration is invalid, the link has changed, or the client asks you to import it again.

Do I need to choose a new plan when I change devices or use several at once?

There is no device limit for simultaneous connections, so changing devices alone does not mean you need a different plan. Sign in to the user dashboard on your new device, get the compatible client and subscription, then import and connect. When you stop using an old device, remove any saved account details and subscription configuration, especially before transferring or returning it. Unlimited devices refers to the number of devices, not unlimited data. Monthly plans include the data allowance for the selected tier; data packages can be used until depleted. When using multiple devices, keep an eye on your remaining data and plan status in the account.

What should I do if I think someone has obtained my subscription link?

Stop forwarding related screenshots or files. Check any chats, public documents and configuration backups where you may have shared the link, and remove exposed content where possible. Sign in to the user dashboard to check your account and data status. If the dashboard offers a subscription reset option, follow its instructions and re-import the updated link in your own client. Do not assume that changing your sign-in password will invalidate an old subscription link; they serve different purposes. If you cannot confirm whether the old link is still usable, open a support ticket, explain what was exposed and ask for help checking it. Redact the full subscription link, passwords and sensitive payment details from any materials you submit.

Connection Troubleshooting

Check your local network first, then review your plan, subscription and proxy mode. Change one thing at a time and observe the result.

I imported my subscription, but the client won't connect. What should I check first?

Disconnect the proxy and make sure your device can access everyday websites normally. Then sign in to the user dashboard to check your plan status and remaining data. Update your subscription and try another region or route rather than repeatedly retrying the same one. Also check whether other proxy tools are running; multiple tools managing the system proxy or network interface can conflict. If the client reports insufficient permissions, follow the system prompts to grant access. Change one setting at a time and note the result so that, if you open a support ticket, you can explain where the failure occurs rather than simply reporting that the connection failed.

The client says it's connected, but websites still won't load. Why?

A connected status usually means the client has established a connection; it does not mean every app is using the route as expected. Check whether the client's system proxy or network routing mode is enabled, then make sure the current mode suits the site you are trying to access. If only one site is affected, try a commonly used international website to see whether the issue is specific to that site or affects the connection more broadly. You can also quit and reopen your browser to rule out stale connections or cached data. If you use custom DNS or other network filtering settings, note the original values and check compatibility using the client’s instructions. Do not disable system security protections just to troubleshoot.

Why does the proxy work in my browser but not in a particular app?

Browsers and standalone apps may use different network paths. Some apps ignore system proxy settings or may be excluded by per-app rules. Check the client's proxy mode and app rules to confirm that the target app is included. If the client supports a network routing mode suited to your needs, check its documentation. After changing the rules, fully quit and reopen the app so it does not keep using an existing connection. If the issue affects only one account or feature, check the platform's own regional, account and service requirements. Access to other websites does not guarantee that the route will work with that app.

How can I troubleshoot disconnections after locking the screen, sleep or a network switch?

Check whether disconnections consistently happen after the screen locks, the device sleeps or the network changes. Power-saving settings on mobile devices can restrict background activity, so check the system's background activity and battery permissions. On desktop devices, check the network status after waking from sleep. After switching networks, make sure the new network is online before reconnecting the client. If the client offers automatic reconnection, check its instructions to see whether it is enabled. Settings can have different names on different systems, so you do not need to follow another device's menu path exactly. Test again under the same conditions after making changes to avoid mistaking a temporary network fluctuation for a background permission issue.

What information should I include in a connection support ticket?

Include your device's operating system, client name, selected region and route type, approximate time the issue occurred, and what happened—for example, a subscription update failure, inability to connect, or an issue affecting only one app. Note what you have already tried and the results, such as whether updating the subscription or switching routes or local networks helped. You can quote error messages verbatim. Screenshots should show the problem while hiding account credentials. Do not attach the full subscription link, sign-in password or an unchecked configuration file. Details that help distinguish between a local network, client or destination-service issue make troubleshooting easier, but there is no need to repeat every step just to submit a ticket.

Speed & Routes

Consider the region, route type and destination service together. Performance over time is more informative than a single connection test.

How should I choose between IEPL, relay and direct routes?

These terms describe how routes are set up, not a speed ranking that applies at all times. Start by checking which region the destination service requires, then compare how routes perform on your local network. IEPL, relay and direct routes take different paths, and performance in the same region can vary by local carrier and time of day. For a fair comparison, use the same device, network and destination, and check page response, long-connection stability and sustained video playback. Do not judge by the route name or a single connection attempt. Available regions and route types are shown in the subscription after it has been updated in your client.

Why does my connection slow down during peak hours, and how can I tell whether it's my network or the route?

Pause background downloads, cloud sync and other high-bandwidth activity on your device, and check that your local network is not busy. Disconnect the proxy and test everyday websites. If they are also noticeably slow, troubleshoot your local network first. If local access is fine, switch to another route in the same region in your client, then compare with other regions. Keep the website and video content consistent during tests so differences in resources do not skew the results. If the problem continues, note when it happens, which route you used and what changed after switching, then submit a support ticket. Peak-hour performance depends on multiple network segments, and a single speed test cannot replace observing stability over time.

Are closer regions always faster, and what does the coverage count mean?

VPNOB covers 120+ countries / 230+ routes, but coverage figures do not mean every region performs the same on every network. Geographic distance is only one factor; the actual route, carrier interconnections, time of day and destination service location also matter. Start with a route in a region that meets the destination service's requirements, then compare response times and connection stability. If a nearby region is slower, there is no need to keep retrying the same exit—update your subscription and try another suitable route. Consider the platform's account rules when choosing a region, and avoid frequent switches to regions that differ from your usual use just to chase a temporary improvement.

What should I do if streaming quality drops or an AI tool won't load?

First check whether the issue is slow network loading or an explicit message from the platform about regional, account or permission restrictions. Streaming quality depends on the route, video content and the platform's adaptive playback. AI tools may also be affected by account status and regional requirements. Check the destination service's requirements, choose an appropriate region, then close and reopen the app before trying again. If loading is simply slow, compare other routes using the peak-hour troubleshooting steps. VPNOB provides network connectivity; it cannot replace eligibility for a destination platform account or guarantee that a particular platform will always be accessible. Confirm route suitability by testing access to the service at the time.

What account security steps should I take when quantum encryption is enabled?

Quantum encryption is a VPNOB security feature, but connection protection does not replace good account and device security practices. Before signing in, check that you are on the VPNOB website, and never enter your username or password on an unfamiliar page. Store your subscription link only in a trusted client and private backup. If you see a certificate warning on a public network, do not ignore it just to continue browsing. Maintain your operating system and client through trusted channels. After using someone else's device temporarily, sign out and remove your configuration. If you encounter an unknown configuration, a troubleshooting tool asking for your full subscription link, or an unusual sign-in page, stop and verify it through the site's help options.

Billing & Refunds

Understand the different rules for monthly plans and data packages. Check orders, remaining data and plan status in the user dashboard.

How much do monthly plans and data packages cost, and which usage patterns suit them?

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB · ¥18/month for 250GB · ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158/300GB · ¥358/1000GB · ¥658/3000GB; use until depleted, with no expiration. Monthly plans suit regular use when you want to track your usage month by month. Data packages suit less predictable usage when you want to manage access based on your remaining data. Consider your usual activities before choosing: streaming, file transfers and everyday browsing use different amounts of data, so do not compare prices alone. Check the Plans page for package details; your current account status is shown in the user dashboard.

When does data reset, and how do monthly plans differ from data packages?

Data on monthly plans resets each month on the date the plan was activated, not at the start of a calendar month. Check your plan status and reset schedule in the dashboard when reviewing your remaining data; do not rely on the calendar month alone. Data packages can be used until depleted, never expire and do not receive monthly data top-ups. The two billing types have different data rules: a monthly plan's reset schedule does not apply to data packages, and a data package's lack of expiration does not mean monthly plan data rolls over automatically. If you have questions about usage deductions or reset timing, keep a record of what the dashboard shows and ask support to check it. Do not rely only on local data tracking in the client to determine your account balance.

How is a plan upgrade calculated partway through a monthly subscription?

For a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Before proceeding, check the target plan and order confirmation in the user dashboard to verify your current plan and the proposed adjustment. Do not convert the price difference into extra data yourself or assume that the new plan's benefits will simply stack onto the original term. If the adjustment shown in the dashboard differs from what you expected, save the page details and ask support before proceeding. Avoid submitting multiple orders just to test different calculations. Upgrades depend on your current account plan, so this help page cannot provide a universal calculation. Monthly plan data still resets each month on the activation date.

Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if my status doesn't update after payment?

WeChat Pay / Alipay / USDT are supported. Start the payment from the order process in your user dashboard and verify the order details. Do not pay using payment information provided by strangers. After completing payment, return to the dashboard and check your order and plan status. If it has not synced yet, refresh the relevant pages, confirm that the payment was completed, and make sure you are signed in to the correct account. Do not pay for the same order repeatedly just because the page has not updated. If you need support to check the order, provide the order details, payment method and current status, along with evidence of the payment result. Hide unnecessary personal information and never share your payment account password or other access credentials.

How do I request a refund, and what information do I need?

VPNOB offers a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user dashboard, open the support ticket section and clearly state that you are requesting a refund, along with the order details needed for verification. See the Terms of Service for the applicable conditions. You do not need to troubleshoot connection issues before requesting a refund. If you also want help resolving a usage problem, you can provide your device, route and any error messages separately. Check the ticket for replies and provide any necessary order information requested. Never share full payment credentials, account passwords or subscription links publicly. This help page makes no additional promises about processing times or payment provider timelines.
